Beautiful spot we went off season in September there was a lot of wildlife...off the beaten path this time of year

I checked out early and drove to a different site with grass and easily available water and no wasps in the bathrooms.

Honestly it didn't seem much different than camping in a Walmart parking lot.

Beautiful, and during the end of October, there are very few other campers, so it's extra nice- too cold to swim by this late in the year, but enjoyable non the less. Hearing the coyotes howl all night really close to us and moving around the landscape was amazing!! The stars are astonishingly bright even compared to Chico - this trip (2017) my mother and I stayed up late and saw what she says is the most amazing shooting star she's ever seen. It was huge, long, and bright. We witnessed a dozen or so good ones.

Not worth $20 per night.

Beautiful views, however it was all deminished by Wasps in the bathrooms. Unable to find any water or washing stations nearby. Gravel everywhere... I was in a tent so dirt or grass or really anything would have been better than gravel in the campsites.

A hidden gem. The campsite areas are very unique, terraced into the rolling hills of the lake. Provides great views. I wouldn't suggest most spots to anyone not able to traverse inclines easily. Reservations are available, but fill up quickly.

Perfect for a getaway and just relax. Lots of walk-in camping spaces. The lake is so nice to swim in after a hot day. Farm Sanctuary is just up the street a bit.
